About:

RAD Towing has been serving the Tri-City area with unmatched customer service and excellent competitive pricing since 2001.  With over 20 years' experience in the industry we are proud the have grown into the largest towing company in the area.  As of now our family-owned and operated business has over 30 employees as well as over 30 tow trucks and pieces of recovery and specialty equipment.  We service over 800 calls a month thru private calls, Police Towing, commercial accounts, motorclubs, and private property impounds.  When a vehicle is impounded by the police or a private property owner and it is not picked up it is declared an abandoned vehicle.  After a grace period, the vehicle is auctioned off the cover the towing and storage costs that have accrued.  This auction is a great way to find an affordable car to drive, a parts car for a current project, or inventory for local salvage yards.  Anyone is welcome to bid online or at our in-person auctions held once a month.

History:

We started in 2001 as a small family-owned and operated business here in the Tri-Cities.  Our 1st Office was in Kennewick on Columbia Drive and we started modestly with just one Wrecker Tow truck.  About two years later we added to the fleet with the addition of a Flatbed Tow Truck. Shortly after that a cab company and an auto repair shop were added to the list of services offered. By 2005 Mr. Rad Howard one of the three original owners left to pursue other interests and left his share of the business to his cousin Gary and his wife Helen who already owned the remaining shares.  By 2010 the Cab Company has taken off and was requiring more and more effort to run.  As a result, the Towing Portion of the business was separated into its own company and sold to its current owners.  We are still a family-owned and operated business but since 2010 thru hard work and a commitment to great service we have grown to 4 locations serving Richland, West Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco.  We now have over 30 employees and over 30 tow trucks!
